Turf Queensland’s core mission is to ensure a resilient and sustainable turfgrass industry. For our 4th Paddock to Pitch, we are bringing the field day back to our grass roots, with the theme of Growing the path to Sustainability. And where better to host it than at Tinamba Turf Farm.
Paddock to Pitch has been given an opportunity to be hosted by Tinamba Turf Farm. This unique opportunity allows the industry to showcase the pinnacle of Turf to all. Tinamba Turf has been growing, delivering and installing the highest quality lawns since 1988. This once small family business has now expanded into further locations and boasts specialised turf varieties grown specifically for South East Queensland. With their family focus, dedication to quality product and pioneering approach, Tinamba will be an excellent host to this year’s field day event.
Paddock to Pitch welcomes Turf Farmers and Growers, Landscapers and Gardeners, Sports Field and Golf Course Greenskeepers/ Curators and the everyday homeowner that is proud of their lawn to come down and enjoy the day.

What’s new this year?
The Wintergreen Challenge!
The 2023 Paddock to Pitch kicks off the inaugural turf judging competition. Enter the Wintergreen Challenge with a submission of 2 slabs of Wintergreen Couch turf; 1 of which will be washed. The Judging Panel will judge on categories including: Uniformity, Colour, Seed Head, Cut Lengths. Exciting prizes will be up for grabs and, of course, 2023 Best Wintergreen bragging rights!
