Following the success of the 2021 Metro and 2022 Regional Paddock to Pitch events, Turf Queensland (TQ), Sports Turf Association Queensland (STAQ) and the Golf Course Superintendents Association of Queensland (QGCSA) proudly come together again to provide a field day that covers all things turf and production.
Paddock to Pitch has been given an opportunity to hold the 2022 Metro field day at Sherwood Magpies AFL Club. This unique opportunity allows a wide range of exhibitors to show off any machines that dig, trench, spray and profile soil. It allows our young and upcoming to learn about soils and the new technology in sports turf renovations, from soil nutrition up!
The Metro Paddock to Pitch 2022, also introduces Renovation Rumble into the mix. Many sports clubs may be experiencing the balancing act of wanting to utilise facilities as much as possible and wanting to keep fields in good condition. Overuse is common and a normal concern, as soil compaction is inevitable on sports fields. In partnership with STA, Renovation Rumble brings a new lens to Paddock to Pitch with showcasing tips and tricks in taking good care of your fields, as well as how to renovate and rejuvenate through nutrition. Line marking, pigment applications, fertiliser treatments will be on display, with walk and talk opportunities from industry leaders.
The turf industry touches many. Farmers and growers, landscapers and gardeners, sports fields and golf courses, greenskeepers and homeowners. Green spaces, parks and home lawns/ gardens are taking on more and more importance and play a vital role in mental health, especially as cities expand and development spreads. Landscape designers and the landscape construction industry have a key role in this development. Paddock to Pitch brings the latest equipment in this space, for small and large construction and maintenance, including technologies, sprays and slow release fertiliser, along with industry leading chemical applicators.
The key purpose of Paddock to Pitch is to bring together the vast industry, to support knowledge shares (both technical and informative), to showcase technological and machinery advances and to provide a platform to celebrate industry growth and changes – new products, trends, techniques and consumer demands. Paddock to Pitch will provide you with a great opportunity to connect to the wider turf industry and potential new client relationships.
