New Urban Lawn Bowls Product Specifically Developed for Lawn Bowls.

A new urban lawn bowls product that is a non-directional performing surface specifically developed for lawn bowls. It provides optimal speed and draw while also offering great comfort.  Queensland-based Urban Turf Solutions takes pride in being an innovator in the research, development and manufacture of synthetic grass surfaces.  They state that a natural surface was not practical but I fail to understand why.  This project was reported in the recent Outdoor Designs Source magazine.

Oak Grande Retirement Village Brisbane.

Residents at Oak Grande Retirement Village at Hawthorn Brisbane required a bowling green and surrounds to be installed. As a natural surface was not practical, they approached Urban Turf Solutions, a Australian manufacturer of synthetic grass. Queensland-based Urban Turf Solutions takes pride in being an innovator in the research, development and manufacture of synthetic grass surfaces.  Urban Turf Solutions offers a personalised service to ensure your synthetic turf requirements are met the first time, therefore asked Geoff from Bayside Synthetics to take on the project. Geoff installs landscape grass for the domestic/commercial market but needed a specialist in bowling greens to finish the project. Michael from KCL VIC Sports was happy to take it on.

Although the project experienced rain interruptions, the surrounds were installed with a very life-like product, Urban Everlawn, a 40mm landscape grass. The bowling green was installed with a new urban lawn bowls product that is a non-directional performing surface specifically developed for lawn bowls. It provides optimal speed and draw while also offering great comfort.  The project was a success — residents are very happy with the result as they now have somewhere to exercise and socialise, and Michael now has three other greens to quote as a result of the feedback.
