The training sessions are designed for all levels of digital literacy. As long as you know what a website is, you should be fine. The program looks at how businesses can adopt new technologies and aims to make people aware of the potential of the internet as a tool for their business and teach them where to learn more if they are interested. The workshops and coaching sessions are very interactive and include practical activities where participants will have an opportunity to get help to start accounts for some social media products (e.g. Facebook / Twitter / YouTube).

Time commitment:

You will need to commit to both sessions. All up it will only take up 4 hours of your time and this will be spread over two x two hour sessions.

**As an added bonus, those who attend the sessions will be eligible for a free 4 hour one-on-one coaching lesson designed to help you create your digital strategy (Note: those who have already received one-on-one coaching facilitated by the Australian Business Solutions Group will not be eligible for the one-one-one training but can attend the training sessions. Those living within the Moreton Bay region will be able to have the one-on-one coaching on farm. If you live outside of this area you will need to discuss a suitable location with the trainer. )

This session will cover the following topics:

  • What is content marketing
  • Why use content marketing
  • What to write content about
  • What media to use with content marketing (i.e. blogs, videos, etc)
  • Content marketing strategy

  • Website design  – understanding your goals, defining your audience, choosing functionality, resources, budgeting and defining a site map
  • Domain names (website address) / hosting / platforms
  • E-commerce – selling products online
  • Google analytics – tracking and obtaining reports on your website traffic
  • Search engine optimization (SEO) –  learning tactics to increase the amount of visitors to your website by obtaining a high-ranking placement in the search results page of a search engine such as Google, Bing and Yahoo.
  • Search engine marketing (SEM) –   understanding how to increase website visibility in search engine results pages

After this workshop you should understand the benefits of planning a successful website:
