Emma Burstall

Hi! I am Emma Burstall, Turf Queensland’s Treasurer. I am also the joint owner/director (with my long-suffering husband) of Turfbiz, a wholesale turf producer located in Wivenhoe Pocket, Qld. I have been in the turf industry since 2015, after making the snap decision to purchase my parents’ turf farm when they decided it was time to retire. Prior to that, I had been a paralegal in property law, family law and mortgages for 14 years.

Since joining the industry I have participated in as many conferences, courses and trade days as possible as I view these events as a great way of gaining knowledge, learning new skills and making new connections with others who also love green space! Turf Queensland has organised many of these workshops and R&D projects. They also provide research and advice towards developing major industry issues and support to their members in times of hardship. I am proud to be a member of Turf Queensland.
