Hugo Struss

Hugo Struss is the General Manager of Tinamba Turf and Clifton Park turf, both located in South East Queensland. Hugo has been involved in the family business for most of his life but has taken up an integral role for the last 12years. He has further education around business admin and project management.

Hugo holds a directors role for Turf Australia and The Royal Queensland Aero club and hopes to use these established associations to help guide Turf Queensland.

Hugo see’s Turf Queensland as an industry body to help raise the awareness of turf and highlight the advantages to all users. He also see Turf Queensland as the peak body to communicate and advocate for all growers. “This Year has seen a great win for Turf Queensland as our growers are receiving up to 50% water discounts from the work of Turf Queensland and Queensland Farmers Federation.”   

Hugo got into the turf industry for the community and lifestyle of agriculture. “I really appreciated growing up on a turf farm and I hope to be able to provide the same from my family. I hope to be able to further support an industry that supports me.”
