‘Staying in the Green’ comes to WIDE BAY area

Understanding Your Costing with “Staying in the Green ” ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

A critical component of turf production is understanding your costs. As you will be aware Turf Queensland a couple of years ago developed a turf cost calculator to allow member companies to populate this tool and identify their costs at the farm gate for turf production of various species, delivery and installation.

Initially in Queensland the introduction to the cost calculator tool was rolled out across the state through a number of regional workshops that included Bill Johnson the designer of the program. At that time membersonly were able to access the program through the website and advise if they needed assistance . This call for assistance came through from members and Turf Queensland has been working on obtaining funding due to the distance across the state, to provide assistance to our members on the Turf Cost Calculator.

We have continuously been advised that guidance and assistance is requested and we have been able with Turf Australia’s support via the Turf Levy and Horticulture Australia support, to provide these regional workshops that will provide support assistance, training and guidance on the use of this important economic business tool that is now rebadged as “Staying in the Green “.

The regional workshops have commenced across the state in 6 main areas across the state.
