QTPA Member Alert |PROFESSIONALISM IN SUSTAINABLE TURF PRODUCTION (22/7/2013)

PROFESSIONALISM IN SUSTAINABLE TURF PRODUCTION

During these tight economic times professionalism, quality and customer service will always win. This is especially so as the turf production industry struggles to remain profitable through the current cycle of low construction and consumer spending.

In Queensland there are over 10 turf production farms up for sale across the state. We have learnt of an iconic turf farm that has gone into receivership in New South Wales (See Below). All this continues to promote professionalism, quality and adherence to standards to provide risk protection to the turf farmer. Productivity improvements and efficiencies remain pivotal to continuity.

There is a long-standing quote from a globally recognised business strategist and planner (Joseph Braysich):

“You Cannot Be in Business Tomorrow Using Yesterday’s Tools Today “.

The Turf Production Industry in Queensland has many tools available to the producer including a turf cost calculator, turf accreditation, on farm efficiency tools and the support and recognition as members of the recognised industry peak body both in this state and nationally.

If you are interested in learning more or identifying these tools as members of the Association, please contact Turf Queensland accordingly.
