Staying in the Green (Turf Cost Calculator) Wide Bay Area

Important inormation for Turf Queensland/Turf Australia Members

WIDE BAY AREA

As you would be aware some time back Turf Queensland developed an economic sustainability tool entitled ”Turf Cost Calculator ”. This tool is targeted at providing the turf farmer with a accurate turf grass cost at the farm gate depending on species and has been available on the Turf Queensland website for its member companies.

In partnership with Turf Queensland, Turf Australia has developed a national program for rollout of the Turf Cost Calculator in each state entitled “Staying in the Green ” targeting profitability of your turf farm. This is the same tool. The program and training has been successfully delivered in Cairns, Townsville and Mackay over the past two weeks and is now turning its focus to south-east Queensland.

I am contacting you to advise of the opportunity heading your way in the Wide Bayarea that will provide education and training in the understanding, use and benefit of this economic tool “Staying in the Green ”. Other workshops will be held in Nambour, Redlands and Beaudesert areas in coming months.

Place: DAFFQ 16-32 Enterprise Street Bundaberg.

Time: 9:00am – 3:00pm

Date: Thursday 19th of June 2014.

RSVP: Friday 13 June to TURF QUEENSLAND

Please take the opportunity to attend this important training session as it will assist and improve your business. We have engaged the developer and designer of the tool  Mr. Bill Johnson Principal Agricultural Economist ,Department of Agriculture, Fisheries & Forestry Queensland, who you have met previously when the tool was first developed at our regional workshops.

Bill will be presenting and explaining the tool and undertaking the individual training for the turf producers who attend this workshop. You are encouraged to bring with you the relevant people who are involved in the development of this tool on a daily basis to ensure understanding and continuity for sustainability. It will also be beneficial for you to bring your laptop computer and whatever accounts you think will be necessary either in hard copy or on USB. This information will remain confidential but will be of advantage to you on the day.

We encourage you to take up this opportunity to understand this business management tool that can greatly benefit your turf production facility in many ways.

This workshop will assist turf producers in:-  Building Profitable Turf Businesses through understanding Cost of Production
