TURF QUEENSLAND “ECO-TURF” WEB SITE UPDATE

As you will be aware Turf Queensland has been working in conjunction with the Queensland government’s Department of Natural Resources and Mines (DNRM) on sustainability programs for the turf production industry in this state.  This program is entitled ‘eco-Turf’.   As a result, there have been a number of updates included on the Association website that we would encourage you to investigate.

In particular the following relate to the TQ ‘eco-Turf’ project:

• Various “Eco-efficiency” content related to the program.
• The “Turf Cost Calculator” that enables individual turf farmers to accurately assess their costs at the farm gate.
• Innovative “Delivery Vehicle Analysis” case study.

Turf Queensland encourages you to review these issues and remind you that your association is working on productivity growth and innovation related to the Turfgrass production especially with efficiency gains related to energy use (electricity, fuels, etc).
