TURF QUEENSLAND MEMBERS ACHIEVE “YOUNG LEADERS” SUPPORT

Congratulations must go to 2 Turf Queensland member companies and that their nominated deserved winners of support through the Turf Industries Levy Program for achieving recognition in the “Young Leaders Program”.

The 2 winners are:

Erin Quinlan from Australian Lawn Concepts

Erin has been working in the Turf industry for five and a half years and commenced her employment with ALC as a sales assistant. Through her commitment to further her career this role has transitioned through roles of sales and marketing, logistics to her recent role as General Manager in 2010.

Michael Newton from Bay Turf Gladstone

Michael has been raised in the turf production industry and realises the importance of what he and other turf producers are trying to achieve. After only a few years of completing his senior schooling, Michael has undertaken part of a joint venture with Bay Turf Gladstone.

Congratulations from Turf Queensland to both Erin and Michael who are both worthy ambassadors of the Australian Turf Industry.

The Young Leaders Program is designed to:

Foster, develop, and encourage knowledge and leadership in the younger generation of people who work within the turf industry by offering the opportunity to travel to international destinations and ensure that research and networking developments are maintained. This is the fourth year of the program run through to the National Turf Industry body Turf Australia.
