REGIONAL IRRIGATORS “ENERGY” SAVERS WORKSHOPS – ERGON ENERGY

Please find attached your invitation for the Irrigators’ Energy Savers Workshops, for weeks one and two covering the Regional areas.

These workshops are part of the DAFF-funded and QFF-led Irrigators’ Energy Savers Project, that will conduct a Level 2 Energy Audit on about 30 Case Study irrigation farms. The audit will examine irrigation energy use and, importantly, make costed recommendations as to how an irrigator may save money on electricity use.

The lessons learned and the case for irrigators to have an examination of their energy use practice will then be shared with those in attendance at the workshops. This project has since been broadened to the Energy Savers Plus, which will look to expand the audit process to other energy intensive industries, but is not the focus of these workshops.

NB: Additional workshops are still in the planning phases for week three at Beaudesert, Gatton, Gympie, Bundaberg and Maryborough. A complete schedule will be sent within the next few business days.
