Turf Harvester

In 2014 a person working on a turf harvester suffered fatal injuries when he was run over by the harvester. Since then SafeWork NSW has collaborated with the turf industry and harvester suppliers to find measures to minimise this such type of incident from occurring again. As part of this collaboration members of Turf NSW have also developed some very good solutions.

Safework NSW have prepared a position paper that outlines measures to manage the risks of operating harvesters. These measures include the recommendations of the coroner and the improvements done by Turf NSW.
