29th International Horticultural Congress – 2014

For members information Turf Queensland is working with be International Horticulture Congress Committee in developing this event to be held in August 2014.  It is an international showcase of horticulture including lifestyle horticulture.  It is obviously an opportunity to present quality natural turf grass to those who attend.  This is the first time it has been held in the southern hemisphere  (last Congress was in Lisbon and Spain) and is concentrating on Asia and Pacific Islands.  Further information will be passed on as it occurs.

The 29th International Horticultural Congress, will be held over August 17-24 2014 in Brisbane, Queensland at the  Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre. The theme ‘Horticulture – sustaining lives, livelihoods and landscapes’ and has been chosen to highlight the value of horticulture and horticultural science  in addressing the key issues of modern society – health, wealth and the environment. Horticulture and horticultural science matters to all humankind, whether we are involved in the research, extension, education, consultancy or servicing production or environmental horticulture, be it in developed or developing countries.
