International Horticulture Congress Brisbane 17-24 August 2014
With six months to the International Horticulture Congress has currently reached 2200 registrations already and is anticipating over 3000 delegates from around the world.
This Congress is held every four years as a world forum on aspects of horticulture and horticultural science. The last meeting was in Lisbon, Spain and this year Australia has its second opportunity to promote and host the Congress with the last one in being in Sydney in 1978. The Congress targeted promotion in particular, will be based around Australia, Asia and the South Pacific’s potential. Horticulture matters to us all whether were involved in research, extension, education, servicing horticulture with production or environmental horticulture in developed or developing countries. The Congress will showcase advanced technologies that are becoming globally significant in the world with a rapidly growing population, less cultivable land and an environment under threat.

The Queensland Turf Industry will have a display of natural quality turfgrass on the front entrance steps of the Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre at Southbank.
